With over 50 years combined experience Davies & Davies understands all sides of the native title process. We have State and Federal government, exploration, mining, infrastructure and Aboriginal Land Council expertise and pride ourselves on a can-do, common-sense approach to co-operative development.
Business partners Ric and Roz first met on opposite sides of the native title negotiating table in 2000. Since then they have moved on to working collaboratively and have successfully negotiated dozens of agreements for exploration, mining and infrastructure across Australia.
Roz Davies
Roz has extensive experience in business development, Aboriginal heritage, native title negotiations and agreement implementation. She has been involved with Indigenous matters since 1989. She spent 6 years working at the Commonwealth National Native Title Tribunal following the introduction of the Native Title Act 1993 and was a Native Title Negotiator for the (WA) Dept of Planning and Infrastructure. After leaving government Roz joined a major mining company as the Indigenous Relations Manager and worked across all States. After some years in the mining industry Roz moved across to the infrastructure sector as the Indigenous Affairs Manager for the Oakajee Port and Rail project.
